Particularities of the Tibetan Singing Bowls from tibetimport.com
Our 7-metal Tibetan singing bowls are handcrafted, hammered, and rounded by hand.
You can tell this by observing that the material is not perfectly smooth — it has small surface imperfections and visible hammer marks.
This is important because it shows that the material is soft, which allows for a long and deep vibration.
The 7-metal Tibetan singing bowls are the finest type of bowls.
They are made with different proportions of metals, and each artisan has their own unique formula to achieve the best possible sound.
Copper is the main element, as it is responsible for the vibration that gives the sound its duration and intensity.
Our Tibetan singing bowls have a considerable thickness — this is not by chance, since thickness plays a decisive role in the duration and intensity of the sound.
There are two traditional ways to make them sound:
one is by giving a firm strike, and the other is by rubbing the rim with a wooden mallet (known as “playing” or “singing” the bowl).
Uses
The 7-metal Tibetan singing bowls have multiple uses, including meditation, relaxation, healing, chakra balancing, and space cleansing.
