You can tell by the slightly uneven surface<\/strong> and small imperfections<\/strong>, visible as hammer marks<\/strong>.
These details are important \u2014 they show that the metal is soft and malleable<\/strong>, allowing for a long, deep, and resonant vibration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 7-metal Tibetan bowls<\/strong> are considered the highest quality<\/strong>, with each artisan using their own unique alloy formula<\/strong> to achieve the best sound.
Copper<\/strong> is the main element<\/strong>, responsible for the vibration<\/strong>, giving the tone depth, sustain, and intensity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our bowls have a notably thick wall<\/strong>, which is intentional, as thickness directly affects both the duration and the richness of the sound<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Traditional Playing Techniques<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There are two traditional ways<\/strong> to play a Tibetan bowl:<\/p>\n

    Striking<\/strong> it with a firm, single tap.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Rubbing or \u201csinging\u201d<\/strong> it around the rim using a mallet.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When using the leather mallet<\/strong>, strike the bowl with the leather-covered side<\/strong>, and for smoother circular playing<\/strong>, use the wooden side<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
