These bowls are traditionally made only in Nepal and are easily recognized by the superior quality of their engraving.

Every bowl is individually tested by Tibet Import before being selected in the country of origin.

Our 7-metal Tibetan bowls have been chosen for their deep, balanced, and long-lasting sound, making them ideal for musicians, sound therapists, relaxation, and meditation.

Features of Tibet Import Tibetan Bowls:

  • There are different grades of Tibetan bowls, and the designation “7 metals” corresponds to the highest quality. It is an alloy of copper and tin with traces of other elements.

  • Our 7-metal Tibetan bowls are handcrafted, hammered, and hand-rounded. This can be seen in the small surface imperfections that reflect the hammer marks — an important sign of soft metal, which produces long, deep vibrations.

  • Copper is the main element responsible for vibration, giving the sound both duration and intensity.

  • Our Tibetan bowls are intentionally thick, as thickness plays a crucial role in the length and power of the sound.

Your First Bowl:
We recommend that your first bowl be versatile; a size between 700 g and 1.2 kg is usually the most suitable.

Size and Sound in Tibetan Bowls:
Bowls under 500 g produce higher-pitched tones, while larger bowls generate deeper, more resonant sounds.

Playing a Tibetan Bowl:
Rubbing or striking a Tibetan bowl is not always easy and requires some technique. Start with circular motions and gentle, consistent pressure. As you increase the pressure, you may hear a faint sound. Once the sound appears, gradually increase the pressure to amplify it. It’s important to prevent the mallet from vibrating, which can be controlled by adjusting the pressure between the mallet and the bowl.

Features of Tibet Import Tibetan Bowls:
There are different qualities of bowls, and “7 metals” denotes the finest. Each artisan has a unique recipe to achieve the best sound.

Our 7-metal Tibetan bowls are handcrafted, hammered, and hand-rounded. You can see this in the small imperfections on the surface, which reflect the hammer marks. This is important because it indicates soft metal, producing long-lasting, deep vibrations.

Copper is the main element responsible for the vibration, giving the sound its duration and intensity.

Our Tibetan bowls are intentionally thick, as thickness significantly affects the duration and intensity of the sound.
